48V 15A Waterproof Golf Cart Battery Charger for 48V Club Car with Round 3-Pin Plug IP68

Some Club Car golf cart models require modifying the vehicle to bypass the On Board Computer (OBC) in order for an aftermarket charger to function properly. The specific models are as follows:

1995-2010 48V Club Car DS: Requires OBC Bypass Modification 2004-2014 48V Club Car Precedent: Requires OBC Bypass Modification 2015-Present 48V Club Car Precedent: Does not require OBC Bypass Modification

Note: An OBC Bypass Wire is included for the models that require this modification.

To Bypass the OBC, you simply need to connect the black wire from the negative terminal of the battery to where the black wire attaches to the back of the receptacle (charging socket). This bypasses the OBC and allows the use of an aftermarket charger.

The aftermarket charger provides short circuit, over voltage, over temperature, reverse backup, and over heat protection. When the internal temperature exceeds 75 degrees Celsius, it will stop charging for about 10 seconds before automatically recovering.
